Italian brand Technomodel is releasing a new 1/18 scale model based on the successful P261 F1 machine launched by British Grand Prix team BRM (British Racing Motors) in the mid-1960s.
The actual car was introduced in 1964, when the engine was 1.5 liters, and in that very first year it quickly achieved second place in both the drivers' and manufacturers' rankings. In 1965, the team continued to compete with the slightly improved P261, and performed well, taking second place in both rankings, just like the previous year.
This release includes one specification each of the winning cars from Hill and Stewart's second year in 1965, as well as the car equipped with the 2.0-liter Tasman V8 that won Stewart's car in Monaco in 1966 and the car driven by Bob Bondurant in the Belgian GP, for a total of four specifications.
Both models are extremely sleek and beautiful, faithfully recreating the proportions of the actual car.
