Thanks to its ingenious design and transversely fitted engine - a first in automotive engineering - the Mini was a true miracle of space. In Mini Cooper S form it won the Monte-Carl rally three times amongst other things. Altogether 5,387,862 Minis were produced during its entire production period from 1959 to 2000.car today.
