The late-model Honda NSX-R (NA2), known as "02R," was released in 2002. Equipped with a 3.2-liter V6 VTEC engine crafted with racing engine assembly techniques, it features an all-aluminum monocoque body. Extensive weight reduction, including carbon materials, thinner glass, and the removal of soundproofing, shaved off 70 kg compared to the standard NSX. With aerodynamics in mind, it achieved market-first negative lift through parts like the front under-cover and rear diffuser.
